The Hermitage of S. Caterina del Sasso is one of the most fascinating places on Lake Maggiore, located on a steep rock overlooking the water. Its foundation, dating back to the 13th century. Since 1970 it belong to the Province of Varese and can be visited for free. It will take your breath away!
BIKE TOUR
LAGO DI COMABBIO CYCLOPEDONAL TRAIL: 12.3 km deepened in the green of the woods. LAKE OF VARESE CYCLING TRAIL: a tour of the lake of about 32 km with both paved and unpaved roads. PALABE BRABBIA: this Natural Reserve is the most important wetland in the province of Varese, it extends over approximately 5 sq km between the Lake of Comabbio and Lake Varese. RANCO-ISPRA: 6.60 km of cycle route, the path nodes through from the Parco della Quassa till the ancient furnaces.

Rising in the middle of the verdant southern coast of Lake Maggiore, where the Ticino river resumes its journey to join the Po, it is an ideal destination for a walk along the river. The town often proposes musical events and markets under the stars.
